A state of the art, gentle bacteria reducing procedure without the use of steam, vaccum or pressure - ideal for powder products. The process is based on a flat rotating spiral fed with a direct electric current, which in turn results in electric resistance. It is this resistance which enables the bacteria reducing effect to be attained. The temperature of the spiral is measured and steered by means of of PID controller and numerous temperature sensors. Due to the precise and continuous measurement of the temperature paramter a high degree of homogenity and quality can be warranted. After having passed through the spiral, the product is immediately cooled down by means of air-conditioning. This results in an immediate improvement of temperature and humidity (6°C and less than 20% H2O) in the system and prevents a new increase in bacteria and condensation. Diasteril has been conceived in such a manner that the bacteria in leaf, coarse cut, granule and powder products can be reliably reduced without an impairment of the sensory qualities. The Diasteril bacteria reducing procedure is also available to our customers as a contract service and on interest the facility itself can be purchased and installed at your own production site.
